It’s that time again!

Soccer time :)

This is the 10th year we’re doing the Deb Levy Soccer Tournament.  Hard to believe that it’s been that many!  I’m so happy that the tournament has continued to be a staple fundraiser of ours since it is so near and dear to my heart.  Deb (my mother) was a soccer mom through and through.  She would be proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish to date and I’m so glad to have been apart of it.

Please see in our event section the details to this year’s tournament.

Hope to see you there!!

Time Flies!

We’re so excited to be entering our 9th year of raising money for the cancer community!  Hard to believe it’s been that long.  It feels like just yesterday we were starting off completely clueless :)   And here we are so many years later with over $100,000 raised for those in need.

I’m so happy to be a part of this ride, and look forward to the year ahead.  Bowl Over Cancer is right around the corner, the Deb Levy Soccer Tournament will continue, and the relationships we’ve built are priceless.

If you have any questions about our organization, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Halfway Through 2015!

Well we’re over halfway through 2015! Hard to believe.  So far we’ve had a great year — Bowl Over Cancer, the Deb Levy Soccer Tournament, and our partnership with Philadelphia University have raised thousands for families in need.  This year alone we have aided 7 families in their fight against cancer by contributing to their outstanding bills.  We’re looking to continue our momentum into the latter part of the year with the Fall semester’s Philadelphia University project, and identifying more families to support!
As always, if you have hand crafted items and wish to donate — please contact us at
Thank you so much for your on going support!!

Philadelphia University Project 2013 & more

We want to take a moment to thank Philadelphia University and their students on another tremendous semester!!   Philly U and ChemoClothes have partnered up for the last 3 years (or 6 semesters) on a tremendous project for fashion students at the University. Each Team creates a company and product to sell with all proceeds going to ChemoClothes! Pretty simple right? This year Philadelphia University was able to raise over $2,500 toward our cause! And have raised close to $5,000 to date!

Also keep an eye out for Bowl Over Cancer 2014 information. It should be out shortly!

We’re looking forward to an exciting 2014 :)

2 tournaments, Bowl Over Cancer and more!

2013 is slated to be one of our most successful years, and it is only February. Two soccer tournaments, Bowl Over Cancer, our relationship with Philadelphia University, Stitch and Pitch, selling unique handmade items, and helping families — which is ChemoClothes in a nutshell!

Bowl Over Cancer is right around the corner — as always we want to build on what we’ve done in the past, so we are expanding our chinese auction to be very appealing. Our volunteers will be sure to come up with something special. March 23rd — be sure to clear your calendar!

ChemoClothes Indoor Soccer Touranament sponsored by Merril Lynch — We’re trying to do a completely co-ed tournament for the 18+ crowd. 16 team maximum, so be sure to get your team registered fast! The tournament is scheduled for April 27th & 28 — Email us for details.

5th Annual Deb Levy Soccer Tournament – Tentatively scheduled the 3rd week of August, but we are at the mercy of the township where we hold the tournament. Last year we were able to have 24 teams, and this year I’m hoping for much more.

Philadelphia University projects are on their way — and we are so happy to be involved with them as always. Their projects are a reflection of my mother’s tastes and interests — which hits close to home. So excited to be involved again.

Thank you everyone for your support through the years — with your help we’re able to give families going through tough times a little relief.

Philly U / Camden Riversharks

The second Philadelphia University presentations went off without a hitch. With the exception of the 2.5 hour drive I had to make from my brother’s wedding the morning of haha — But the students did a tremendous job yet again, and ChemoClothes is thrilled to be apart of the their projects. The items are slated to be up in the store in the next couple weeks, so please keep your eye out for them, in addition to an item that somehow slipped by the cracks from last term.

The Camden Riversharks approached us to be the recipients of a 2012 Stitch and Pitch — for those who don’t know its a fundraiser where people can come to the park, watch the game, and “stitch” if they choose to do so. — We’ve done it in the past with them and we’re happy to be apart of this year’s events as well. Keep an eye out for it! :)

A lot of things happening in townships these days for recreational sports which has caused a huge disappointment for ChemoClothes because as of right now we are without fields for our annual Soccer Tournament. If you have any input, please reach out to us.

Hope everyone is doing well and I will talk to you later!

Bowling Success!

Isn’t it nice when a plan comes together? Bowl Over Cancer could not have gone over any smoother and it was such a breath a fresh air to have it all done with everybody happy. Now we’ll have to move onto our biggest event, the Deb Levy Soccer Tournament. Slated to be on grass fields this year, it will surely not disappoint anyone.

This year is moving along quickly! Before you know it, it will be summer time and I’ll be finishing up my MBA program. Hard to believe it’s been a year of going back to school already… I can’t wait till its over! haha — which is actually good new for ChemoClothes :)

I know optimism is a difficult thing when dealing with cancer, but a lot can be said of those who are optimistic. Not only does it keep yourself from going insane, but it also keeps those around you from breaking down as well. This doesn’t just apply to patients, but everyone involved….

Positive attitudes are contagious. Besides, no one likes a Debbie Downer! :)

Reflecting on the last 3 years

ChemoClothes has been a great outlet for me to cope with the passing of my mother from breast cancer. Since the beginning of the organization I’ve been able to meet great people and help many in their own battles with the horrible disease. I hope to never give this organization up as it has helped personally and even professionally.

I can contribute a lot of great things to starting ChemoClothes and I hope to be able to contribute a lot more to it. And I can’t wait to see what this year brings!
